Flash flood in Tenerife, Spain kills 5

Flash flood on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife has claimed lives of five people.

The Red Cross has deployed 120 volunteers, 10 ambulances and off-board boats to help in the rescue operation.

Hundreds of people have been forced to leave their homes by storm flooding, which cut off all access to the port, as well as power and telephone lines, Daily Mail has written quoting Miguel Zerolo, the mayor of the island's capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
