Magnitude 4.0 light earthquake hit Kalikot district of Mid-Western Nepal at 11:17 am local time on May 4, 2016.
According to Nepal's National Seismological Center, the epicenter was located near Kheen Southwest of famous Rara Lake.
It lies in Dholagohe village development committee in Kalikot district of Karnali Zone. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
Last week, magnitude 4.2 light earthquake was recorded in Bajhang district of Nepal.
