Two moderate earthquakes of magnitude 5.5 and 5.3 rocked Baluchistan province of Pakistan today.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, magnitude 5.3 earthquake occurred at 11:59 am local time with epicenter located 20 km SSW of Chaman, Baluchistan. After two minutes, another earthquake of magnitude 5.5 rocked the same region.
Light shaking of MMI IV will have been felt by the people of Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Spin Boldak, Amanzi, Pishin and Kot Malik. Similarly, people of Quetta, Kandahar, Sibi, Qalat and Gereshk will have been felt weak shaking of MMI III, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
