Severe weather in Quetta, Balochistan — Flash flood warning issued

Current weather condition in Quetta, Balochistan

Heavy rain along with hailstorm lashed major parts of Balochistan including Quetta valley on Friday.

The fisheries department has issued an advisory for fishermen along the coastal belt of Balochistan not to venture out to sea on March 5 and 6 in view of torrential rains and high winds in the province, DawnNews reported.

According to Met office, more than two dozens districts of Balochistan received heavy rainfall. Heavy downpour damaged several mud houses in Dalbandin area of Chaghi district.

Light and moderate rain also lashed parts of Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir on Saturday. 

Regional Meteorological Center, Quetta has issued heavy rainfall and flash flood warning for 24 hours:
Scattered thunderstorm/rain accompanied by gusty winds along with isolated  heavy falls may occur over Turbat, Punjgur, Kalat, Bolan, Sibbi, Harnai, Kholu, Loralai and Quetta districts. On account of these heavy falls, there are strong chances of Flash Flooding in hill torrents of these districts.
