    -Heavy rainfall accompanied with hail claimed life of an elderly woman and damaged houses in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.

    -The northeasterly monsoon is expected to bring rainstorm and heavy seas in Gulf of Thailand from Feb 5-9, 2016 forcing the disaster prevention and mitigation teams to be on alert in nine southern provinces.
