Flood in Greater Jakarta kills a toddler, hundreds evacuated

Flash flooding in Greater Jakarta has claimed life of a toddler and caused evacuation of hundreds of residents.

A 21-month-old toddler died early on Sunday after falling into the Cendrawasih River.

Recent floods have affected 27 areas throughout the municipality, The Jakarta Post has written quoting Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD).

Heavy flooding has also been reported in Bogor, Depok and Bekasi in West Java.
