Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano affects Bekerah and Simacen villages

Mount Sinabung volcano in Karo regency, North Sumatra erupted on Wednesday spewing volcanic ash to a height of 2,000 meters toward the southwest.

The pyroclastic clouds affected Bekerah and Simacen villages, Signs of the Times reported.

"Volcanic activity could increase within the week and discharge a bigger volume of pyroclastic flows and ash, Mt. Sinabung Observation Station staff member Deri Hidayat told The Jakarta Post.
