Severe weather in Egypt's Mediterranean city of Alexandria kills 6

Severe weather in Egypt's Mediterranean city of Alexandria has claimed lives of six people, including two children.

According to Middle East News Agency (MENA), Sandstorms and flash floods hit parts of the Sinai Peninsula. Authorities have closed the port of Ain Sokhna near the southern end of the Suez Canal.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has also ordered the government to provide aid to the Alexandria area.

Similarly, the severe weather in Israel killed a 20-year old worker.
