to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 18 km SW of Medford. It was 3.9 miles
deep.
A preliminary report first reported the magnitude as being 4.8 but that has since been revised to a magnitude of 4.4.
Tremor was felt as far away as parts of southern Oklahoma and northern Kansas.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
