Recent flooding in Democratic People's Republic of Korea has claimed lives of at least 21 people and left nine others missing, the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said.

According to the State Committee for Disaster Management, more than 690 houses have been completely destroyed affecting around 3,400 people.
The U.N. agency said the DPRK Red Cross, in close cooperation with local authorities, conducted damage and needs assessment.
