Landslide in China's Yunnan Province kills 3, leaves 8 missing

At least three people died and eight people remained missing in a landslide in Yunnan Province of China. 

According to the Xinhua News Agency, landslide disaster hit at about 7 p.m. on Saturday evening which buried a road in Funing County in Yunnan province.

Some 200 rescue workers using excavators and sniffer dogs have been searching for eight people who are unaccounted for.

Meanwhile, Eastern China provinces have been kept on high alert for approaching typhoon Swan that may bring gales and rainstorms on Sunday night.

The Fujian Provincial Meteorological Station has issued a yellow alert for the typhoon. Swan is expected to arrive at the East China Sea on Sunday evening
