    -Torrential rain and landslides in Azad Kashmir have killed atleast nine people, emergency officials said on Thursday. Click for detail report

    -Flooding triggered by heavy rainfall in Liancheng County in east China's Fujian Province has claimed lives of at least four people and left five others missing.
    -Recent floods have affected around 243,000 people in the county and forced evacuation of 132,000 people, Xinhua reported.

  • Flood alert in Pakistan
    -The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued high alert for widespread heavy rain and flood, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan, over the next five days.
    -The provincial governments, district administrations and provincial disaster management authorities (PDMAs) have been requested to put in place emergency precautionary measures to minimise the losses, Dawn reported.

    - The alert level for Grenada's underwater volcano Kick’em Jenny has been raised from yellow to orange, the Seismic Research Center of the University of the West Indies mentioned.
