Earthquake aftershock in Nepal June 14, 2015

A massive earthquake of magnitude 7.9 rattled Nepal on April 25, 2015. The earthquake, which struck at 11:56 am on Saturday, has already claimed lives of more than 8,000 people, injured thousands and made millions homeless. Below are aftershocks of April 25 earthquake of magnitude 4 or greater as recorded by Nepal Seismological Center.

At least two aftershocks of magnitude greater than four have been recorded in Nepal.

Magnitude 4.2 aftershock rattled Nuwakot at 05:59 am early Sunday. The epicenter was located near Kumari, west of Okharpauwa.

At 03:01 pm, magnitude 4.1 aftershock was recorded in Dolakha. The epicenter was located in Gaurishankar Conservation area, south east of Singati.

Yesterday, magnitude 5.2 aftershock was recorded in Dolakha at 07:03 am with epicenter located 73 km E of Kathmandu. At least 315 aftershocks of magnitude 4 or greater have been recorded since April 25 major quake.

The earthquake has already claimed lives of at least 8,786 people. Sindhupalchowk has seen highest number of fatalities with 3,440 deaths followed by Kathmandu with 1,222 deaths. At least 170 people have died in Dolakha.
