Kathmandu rattled by magnitude 4.0 aftershock Thursday morning

Magnitude 4.0 aftershock rattled Kathmandu at 05:12 am, Nepal Seismological center reported.

The epicenter was located near Nakkhu river south east of Bhaisepati. Khokana and Bungamati lies near the epicenter. These oldest areas of valley have been heavily destroyed by earlier magnitude 7.8 earthquake and the following aftershocks.

According to Krishna Bhagat Maharjan, a resident of Khokana, people panicked and rushed out of their houses immediately. It was enough to woke up others in the early morning.

At least four aftershocks of magnitude four and greater have rattled Nepal as of 10:00 am today. Yesterday, Seismological Center had recorded four aftershocks of magnitude greater than four.
