Massive hailstorm in Mathura, India kills 3, injures 150

Massive hailstorm in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India has claimed lives of at least three people and injured 150 others.

"Ten cattle were killed and 150 people have been injured due to hailstorms," ADM Dhirendra Sachan said NDTV.
 
Two persons including a child were killed in Nagla Imam Khan area of Reethora village in Mathura.

Agitated farmers have blocked roads and demanded compensation as hailstorm damaged their crops in Mathura, The Times of India reported.

"We will try to provide all possible help to farmers. Re- survey would be conducted to assess extent of damage done to crop in different parts of district," Buisness Standard has mentioned quoting District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar as saying.

Mathura is a city in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh located approximately145 kilometres south-east of capital city Delhi.

Massive hailstorm and strong wind affected Mizoram-Tripura-Bangladesh border region yesterday. Seasonal cyclonic rain storms left trails of destruction in various parts of Mizoram. More than 200 hundreds tin-roofed houses have been damaged in different parts of the state.
