Tornado hits Bombala, Australia

A tornado hit Bombala town of south-eastern New South Wales, Australia on Saturday afternoon, leaving considerable damage in its wake.

The storm formed in the direction of the Bombala Golf Club was accompanied by very heavy rain and impressive thunder and lightning, Bombala Times has written.

A small crowd was gathered at the Bombala Showground for the Australia Day celebrations. The Bombala tornado mainly caused damage to roofs and sheds.
