Malaysia: Tornado in Alor Setar, Kedah damages houses

A tornado in Alor Setar, Kedah region of Malaysia has damaged at least 15 houses, New Straits Times Online reported.

Tornado hit the Kampung Sungai Nonang in Simpang Kuala, Alor Setar at about 3 pm.

Earlier week, a tornado hit the state’s Taman Wira Mergong, Alor Setar and damaged 13 houses, Free Malaysia Today has written in its online edition.

Flash floods in Alor Setar had affected several people in June 2013. Alor Setar (Alor Star) is the capital and largest city of Kedah, Malaysia.
