Tremor felt in Kathmandu following Tibet earthquake

Weak tremors have been felt in northern part of Kathmandu following magnitude 5.2 earthquake in Tibet, Nepal Seismological Center (NSC) mentioned.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 179 km N of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. It was 9.3 miles deep.

NSC received 'felt report' calls from Kapan, Maharajgunj, Bauddha and Sundarijal Sunday afternoon, The Himalayan Times has written quoting Ramesh Pandey of National Seismological Centre.

Another earthquake in China with magnitude 6.1 has claimed lives of atleast 367 at the time of writing this post.
