Flooded coal mine in China leaves 2 dead, 14 trapped

A flooded coal mine in China has left two dead and trapped 14 others, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Coal mine flood occurred at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Anzhishun Coal Mine in the city of Jixi. Rescue work for those trapped is still ongoing.

There were fifty-six miners working in the shaft when the flooding occurred.

The cause of coal mine flooding is unknown.
