1 killed, 2500 stranded by Southern California mudslides

Mudslides and floods in Southern California have claimed life of a person and stranded thousands of people, Reuters reported.

One person was found dead after swift-moving floods swept the car off a Mount Baldy road.

About 2,500 people have been stranded after thunderstorms caused mountain mudslides in Southern California. Amongst those stranded are some 500 children and adults who had arrived at Forest Home, a church camp in Forest Falls campground.

Flash flood warnings and watches were issued in Southern California.
