Thailand earthquake 2014 recorded as strongest so far!

This is what Xinhua News Agency has written:
"Suchatvee Suvansavat, head of the Engineering Institute of Thailand, announced on Tuesday that the 6.3-magnitude earthquake with a seven-kilometer-deep epicenter in Phan district of the Thai northernmost province of Chiang Rai was the country's strongest tremor."

-According to the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, an 83-year-old woman died when the brick walls of her house collapsed onto her in Chiang Rai's Mae Lao district of Thailand.
-Approximately one hundred repeated shocks have been reported within 24 hours by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center.

Magnitude 6.0, the strongest earthquake in 100 years hits Thailand today, Earthquake Report mentioned quoting the Thai sources.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 9 km S of Mae Lao. It was 4.6 miles deep.

The Seismological Bureau of the Meteorological Department and the National Disaster Warning Centre has assigned magnitude 6.3 for this earthquake with epicenter located in tambon Mae Or in Phan district in Chiang Rai.

According to The Chula Information Communication Center website, a survey conducted by the Department of Mineral Resources in March 2012 had revealed 14 groups of active faults spread across 22 provinces in Thailand.

Video below shows a group of monks who rushed out of a a temple in Phayao, after one of them suddenly said 'an earthquake' in a middle of a chanting session. The incident was caught on video and widely shared on social medias.
