Earthquake in Bastak, Iran kills 1, injures 30

M 5.5 strong earthquake in Bastak, Iran has claimed life of a person and injured at least 30 people.

Several houses have been damaged by 10-60 percent due to earthquake, Iranian IRINN TV reported. The Red Crescent is currently evaluating the exact extend of damage.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 47 km S of Lar. It was 6.3 miles deep.

Following USGS Pager Map, light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Gerash, Kish, Bandar-e Lengeh, Bandar 'Abbas, Qeshm, Fasa, Darab, Umm al Qaywayn, Ra's al Khaymah, Firuzabad and Khasab.
