Wild weather in Canary Islands claim 2 lives

Wild weather in Canary Islands of Spain has claimed lives of at least two people, the regional government said today.

Two people including an 11-year-old girl were drowned in the Canary Islands when they were swept away by waves on La Graciosa Island. Two other memebers of the same family were rescued by boats.

Valencia's opera house has also been damaged and remain closed indefinitely.
