Flooding in Bunkpurugu, Ghana kills 1, displaces 6,000

Flooding in Bunkpurugu, Ghana has claimed life of at least one person and displaced nearly six thousands people, local medias reported.

About 700 houses have been submerged by the floods. Evacuated people are taking shelter in classrooms nearby.

The district Secretariat of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is providing disaster relief materials, Modern Ghana reported.
