Wildfire in Southern California today has burned 10,000 acres, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) said.
The so-called Silver Fire has injured three persons (2 firefighters, 1 civilian) and was 0 percent contained as of Thursday morning.
Fire started August 7, 2013 2:05 pm at Poppet Flats Rd near Hwy 243, south of Banning, Riverside County, Southern California.

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the communities of Vista Grande, Mt. Edna, Poppet Flats, Twin Pines and Silent Valley, according to Cal Fire.
Different agencies are struggling to control the Southern California fires today including American Medical Response, American Red Cross, Bureau of Land Management, Riverside County Fire Department and Riverside County Fire Office Of Emergency Services.
