Ramechhap, Nepal landslides kill 7

Landslides at different places in Khimti VDC of Ramechhap district of Nepal have claimed lives of at least seven people, local medias reported.

Landslides around 2 am Tuesday morning at Khimti-4 and Khimti-3 claimed four lives including three of a single family, The Himalayan Times reported.

Another three died in another landslide and flooding in Katunje village. Two others are reported to be missing.

Altogether six people have gone missing, Republica said.

According to Nepal News, Army and police teams have reached the landslide zone to carry out rescue and rehabilitation works.

Yesterday landslide in Rukum district of Nepal buried at least five houses and displaced around 49 families.
