Landslide in La Chicharronera village of Honduras has claimed lives of at least six children and injured two others Wednesday night.
Landslide engulfed two houses claiming the lives of children between one and nine years old, Reuters reported.
Two other children have been injured in the incident and are having treatment at a local hospital, emergency officials said. One of them is said to be in serious condition.
Heavy rain caused landslide in the area. Landslide site is located 93 miles north of the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
