Emergency declared in flooded Russian Amur region

A state of emergency has been declared today in flooded eastern Amur region by the Russia's Ministry for Emergency Situations.

Emergency was declared after Russian Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov inspect the flood damage, Radio Free Europe reported.

Recent floods have damaged more than 300 homes causing the evacuations of some 1,500 people.
