Weather Service confirms two tornadoes in Socastee

National Weather Service has confirmed two small tornadoes in the Socastee area Saturday.

A tornado with winds of up to 60 mph hit Cameron Village and another tornado touched near the Amberfield neighborhood. Tornado caused roof damage and downed tress.

National Weather Service team has conducted a survey to determine the size of Socastee tornadoes and their wind speeds.

National Weather Service is currently evaluating tornado damage which will be helpful for homeowners to use it on insurance claims.

There were no reports of injured people from tornadoes in Socastee.
