Punjab flood claims 3, injures 9

Flood in Punjab, Pakistan caused after heavy rainfall has claimed lives of at least three people and injured nine others.

Punjab flood claimed two women in Pasrur village and a child in Shakargarh’s Tola village.

At least three people were injured due to house collapse in Kot Abdul Malik city of Lahore and six others were injured in Tola village.

The Punjab flood forecasting division has warned of very high flood in Jhelum river at Mangla and Chenab at Marala today.

The Met office has recorded the heaviest rain in Islamabad over the past 24 hours. About 217mm of rainfall has been recorded in Saidpur, Dawn Media reported.

Punjab flood in 2010 had claimed lives of around 2,000. Punjab flood relief and rehabilitation center was in effect.
