NWS confirms weak tornado near Clinton, Maryland

A weak tornado hit Monday evening at about 7:33 p.m. south of Clinton and west of Brandywine, the National Weather Service survey confirmed.

The tornado 75 yards across was rated as an EF-0 by National Weather Service, the Washington Post has written in its online edition.

Tornado damage was minor including damage to a vinyl fence.

F4 Tornado in Clinton, Maryland in 2002 is regarded as the largest tornado in the area. 2002 Clinton tornado claimed lives of three people and injured 122 others.
