Myanmar Floods 2013: Karen State flooding evacuates 25,000

Around 25,000 people have been evacuated to relief camps after floods in Karen State, Myanmar.

Evacuated people are living in 80 different relief camps.

Myanmar Floods have also affected people in Mon and Rakhine states.

The Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge over the Moei River has been closed due to heavy rainfall, the Disaster Relief Department said.

Recent floods in Maluku province in eastern Indonesia have claimed lives of at least four people and left six missing, disaster management and mitigation agency said.

Similarly flash floods in Vietnam have claimed lives of five people, according to the Central Steering Committee for Storm and Flood Control.
