K2 Avalanche: 2 New Zealand climbers missing

A father and son from New Zealand are reported to be missing in an avalanche on K2, the second highest mountain in the world.

K2 avalanche damaged Camp 3 and left both men missing, Nepalese Sherpas said. They were waiting at Camp 3 for the weather to clear.

K2 is the second-highest mountain on Earth after Mount Everest located on the border between Pakistan and China.

An avalanche above second base camp of the Mount Everest, World' highest peak claimed life of a climber in May 2013.
