Floods claim 9, displace thousands in AP, UP

Heavy rain and floods have claimed lives of at least nine people and displaced thousands of people in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh regions of India.

Fatalities are from Karimnagar(5), Khammam (2), Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad (1 each) area of Andhra Pradesh.

Similarly  flooding in Uttar Pradesh have displaced thousands of people. Sharp rise in Ganga, Yamuna, Sharda and other rivers have been observed in last 24 hours.

Met department has forecast more heavy rains in next 48 hours in AP and UP.

Flooded Kosi river engulfed 9 kids in Bihar some days ago. Flood is the most common disaster in India.
