Ecuador Reventador Volcano eruption intensifies

Lava flow and ash and gas emissions have intensified at the Ecuador Reventador volcano, Geophysics Institute said.

Though the lava flow on southern flank has increased since Saturday, it currently poses no immediate threat to villagers, Ecuador's Geophysics Institute added.

Tungurahua volcano also spewed stones, gases and ashes more than 5 km into the sky some days ago. At least 200 people were evacuated and one pyroclastic blast was heard as far as Guayaquil.

Ecuador Reventador volcano had its largest historical eruption in 2002.
