Landslide in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte, Philippines has claimed life of a 10-year-old boy, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported.
Landslide hit a group of nine children on their way home Wednesday afternoon. Eight others remain unharmed.
Landslide was caused by heavy rainfall in the Davao region.
Torrential rains have also caused flooding in parts of Metro Manila. Flooded areas has suspended classes and the Philippine National Railways has also closed its operations.
PAGASA has expected 2 to 3 cyclones in Philippines this month which may cause flash floods and landslides.
