4 missing in Humla landslide, 12 houses destroyed

At least four people including three children are reported to be missing in landslide in Humala district of Nepal.

Landslide hit at least twelve houses in Hilsa, Muchu-9 of Humla district of Nepal. This is the remote area bordered with Tibet where Nepal section of The Great Himalaya Trail ends.

Local and Police are on the way to the catastrophe site.

Another landslide at Siddababa along the Butwal-Palpa has caused huge traffic jam. Dozens of vehicles have been stranded due to landslide at Ganeshpur section on the KI Singh Highway.

Massive flooding in the Mahakali River wreaked havoc in Khalanga, the district headquarters of Darchula making 53 families homeless. A red flag has been placed and an emergency has been declared.

Flooding and Landslides are common during monsoon season in Nepal.
