Possible eruption at Alaska's Pavlof Volcano: Alert status to Orange/Watch

Tremors have been detected at Pavlof Volcano combined with a strong thermal anomaly, the Alaska Volcano Observatory says.

The Alaska Volcano Observatory has raised the aviation alert level for Pavlof Volcano from “yellow” to “orange.”

No ash clouds have been immediately detected at Pavlof Volcano.

The Pavlof  Volcano last erupted in 2007 and lasted for 29 days.
