Betsy Palmer, an associate professor of education at Montana State University, passed away in a landslide tragedy in Nepal, university officials announced through its website.
Betsy Palmer was hit by landslide during trek to a remote village in the Arun River Valley. Palmer was leading a group of 16 students when disaster occurred. None of the students were injured in the landslide, Montana State University confirmed.
Palmer who was statistics and research methods courses tutor was a gifted and award-winning teacher, researcher, and scholar, Montana State University has further added.
In another news, floods have obstructed Kawasoti-Narayangarh road section of the Mahendra Highway of Nepal. Hundreds of vehicles are stranded in the highway after flood swept away diversion built over Lokaha stream early today.
