Maldives flooding worse in Fuvahmulah Islands

Heavy storm has caused flooding in Fuvahmulah Islands of Maldives, Maldives based Sun FM reports.

Severe storms and flooding have caused damage to islands throughout the Maldives with worse in Fuvahmulah Islands, official of National Disaster Management Center (NDMC) says.

Heavy rainfalls have caused food shortage, flooding and property damage on Thinadhoo Island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, Minivan News reports.

Storm and flood damage have also been reported in Fioyree Island. Estimate of natural disaster damage is still being assessed.
