Kashmir flood: 1 killed, Srinagar-Jammu highway closed, 4 bridges washed away

A flood alert has been issued in Baramulla district in northern Kashmir. All schools in the district are remain closed today.

Flooding caused by heavy rainfall in Kupwara district of northern Kashmir has killed one child and washed away four bridges.

Landslide triggered by heavy rain closed Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Leh national highway. Landslide hit Seeri area of Ramban district along the national highway.

MET office has warned more thunderstorms in Zojilla Pass area of Srinagar-Leh highway and Ramban area in next 48 hours.

Kupwara District is located in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
