Flood in Xinjiang, China claims 2

Flood in Xinjiang, China has claimed lives of two people and affected over 16,400, Xinhua news reported.

Flooding has damaged around 700 houses and destroyed 2,100 hectares of farmland in Kashgar.

China's central government has allocated 507 million yuan (82.04 million U.S. dollars) for emergency response measures for flooding and water conservancy repair projects.
