Everest base camp avalanche kills 1

An avalanche above the second base camp of the Mount Everest, World' highest peak has killed one climber.

Mountaineer Lopsang Sherpa caught in an avalanche at an altitude of 7,000 meter, Nepal based newspaper Himalayan Times mentions.

Following an official of Sagarmatha Mountaineers Association, climber Sherpa was a member of Seven Summit Treks and Expedition.

1996 Mount Everest avalanche claimed lives of eight people. Reports have shown that over 200 people have died trying to climb Mount Everest till now.

Mount Everest is the Earth's highest mountain located in Nepal at 8,848 metres above sea level.
