7 missing in Nepal's Mt Saipal avalanche

At least seven people are reported to be missing in an avalanche in the Mount Saipal region of far-western Nepal, Nepal based The Himalayan Times reports.

Avalanche disaster hit yarsagumba collectors group of nine people in Mt Saipal. Two people however survived and reported about the tragedy to locals of Kanda VDC.

Heavy snowfall has been reported at Raidhunga, Kanda VDC near Saipal Mountain.

Thousands of people climbs Mt Saipal to collect Yarsagumba every year. Yarsagumba also the himalayan herb has very high economic value.
