4 tornadoes hit northeast Kansas, damage houses

At least four tornadoes hit northeast Kansas today, emergency management officials said.

The most significant tornado damage was reported in and around Marysville.

According to Emergency Management, tornado damaged 20-25 homes and businesses in Marysville. Emergency crews and police are working in Marysville. Marysville is about 150 miles northwest of Kansas City near the Nebraska border.

Other tornadoes touched down in Smith, Jewell County and Clay counties, Kansas City reported quoting Kansas Division of Emergency Management. Tornado destroyed at least two houses in Smith and one house near Esbon.

Hailstorms have also been reported in the town of Mankato, Kansas in Jewell County.

Oklahoma tornado, rated EF-5 some days ago claimed lives of several people.
