3 killed by rain-triggered collapse in Pingjiang, China

At least three people died in a house collapse due to heavy rain in Hunan Province of China, Xinhua reports.

Tragedy occurred in Jiayi Township in Pingjiang County where woman, her four-year-old granddaughter and 11-year-old nephew buried in the house collapse.

Provincial meteorological center has forecast more rains from Tuesday to Saturday next week.

Natural disasters across China in April 2013 claimed 268 lives and left 21 people missing, according to a statement by China's Emergency Management official.
