Meghalaya storm claims 3 lives

Update
-Hailstorm in Meghalaya has injured at least 50 people and displaced around 700 people.
-Some injured people are having treatment at Shillong Civil Hospital.
-Two relief camps have been established in Meghalaya.

Cyclonic storm in Meghalaya, India has claimed lives of three people and injured more than 50 others.

Heavy rainfall, storm and lightning strikes in Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya hurt over 50 people. Injured people are having treatment in hospital.

Meghalaya storm also cut communication lines and power supply.

Civil defence workers and district officials have provided disaster relief materials. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister released Rs.25 lakh for distribution of essential disaster relief items among the storm affected families.
