Hurricane prediction for 2013 Atlantic hurricane season is out. Forecasters from Colorado State University have issued hurricane prediction 2013 report mentioning nine hurricanes and 18 tropical storms starting from June 1.
Four out of nine are predicted to be a major hurricane in 2013 (Categories 3, 4 or 5).
Hurricane prediction 2013 report mentions that the entire U.S. coast has a 72 percent chance of being hit by a major hurricane. The U.S. East Coast, including the Florida peninsula has 48 percent chance of being by major hurricane. The Gulf Coast, stretching from the Florida panhandle to Brownsville, Texas has 47 percent of being hit by major hurricane in 2013.
Hurricane prediction for Florida 2013 is 48 % which is up from the 31 % average over the last century. Florida hurricane protection companies seems to be busy in 2013.
Last year hurricane Sandy and Isaac caused huge damage. Year 2012 registered 19 storms, 10 hurricanes and two reached Category 3 intensity.
With 28 storms, 2005 is the most active storm year.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.

2013 Hurricane Names
This is the listing of Atlantic 2013 Hurricane Names. The 2013 hurricane name list is the same as the 2007 hurricane name list except three. Dean replaced by Dorian, Felix by Fernand and Noel replaced by Nestor.

Implementation of protection strategies before the hurricane can be very helpful to save the people, and to save the cost of damage due to hurricane.
