Flooding in Angola claims 9

Flooding in Angola has claimed lives of nine people. Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Angolan capital, Luanda where four people are still reported to be missing.

Floods in Angola have damaged more than 500 homes in Samba and Coreia area only.

A road near Luanda's port has been closed due to landslide.

Locals have urged officials to provide sandbags for flooding and make better flood control systems.

The 2009 Angola, Namibia and Zambia floods claimed 131 lives and caused damage of at least $5 million.

Angola is a country in Southern Africa.
