Flash floods in Singapore today

Heavy rainfalls have caused flash floods in Singapore today. The flash floods in Singapore occurred at about 10.40 am today.

The water reached a depth of about 35 cm at the junction of Chai Chee Road and New Upper Changi Road, AsiaOne mentions.

Flooding has also affected Arumugam Road, Bedok South Road and Siglap Road.

The 1978 Singapore flood claimed seven lives. Flood damage reached S$10 million. This was the worst flood in S'pore history since the Hari Raya floods in December 1969.
